Mesothelioma is a rare, aggressive and deadly form of cancer. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer affecting the abdominal cavity, chest cavity, and the region surrounding the heart. It develops when microscopic asbestos fibers become imbedded in the chest lining and lungs. It is a cancer of epithelial linings of the lungs, abdomen or in the heart.
